Jane Burges Perrenot was the daughter of a prominent El Paso family who extensively collected El Paso and Texas history. When she died, she willed her home to the El Paso County Historical Society to be used for its home. Part of the historical collection was the foundation for the Research Center.

PHOTOGRAPHS -- Dating from 1875-present. Over 9000 photographs are available. Highlights are the Mexican Revolution, El Paso structures and residents.

ARCHIVAL COLLECTIONS -- Mexican Revolution, Scrapbooks from families and organizations, El Paso Natural Gas Company publications, O. Paul Lance Collection (historical documents and maps about El Paso water development)

POSTCARDS -- Over 7500 postcards from around the world

PRESENTATIONS -- "El Paso You Never Knew" presentation is available. Call (915) 533-3603 to make arrangements.

The Jane Burges Perrenot Research is open to the public:
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Directions to the Jane Burges Perrenot Research Center -
From the East:
Take I-10 to the Downtown Mesa St. exit. You will be on Yandell. Stay on Yandell going West until it intersects Santa Fe on the left and West Yandell on the right. Turn right and go up West Yandell about two blocks to 603-605 West Yandell. It will be on your right, and there is a historical marker in the front yard.

From the West:
Take I-10 to the Downtown exit and remain in the left lane. At the first stop light, turn left. You will be on West Yandell. Cross over the interstate and continue north. On the other side go two block to 603-605 West Yandell which will be on your right. There is a historical marker in the front yard.
