Hal Marcus, Cindy Ramos-Davidson, Dr. Cindy Stout, and Wayne Thornton
to be recognized at annual banquet
The El Paso County Historical Society will induct four distinguished El Pasoans into the El Paso Hall of Honor during its annual banquet on Sunday, November 8, at 5:30 pm at the El Paso Country Club.
This year’s Hall of Honor inductees are:
- Hal Marcus, acclaimed artist, collector, and art dealer whose lifelong contributions have helped preserve and celebrate the region’s artistic heritage.
- Cindy Ramos-Davidson, respected business leader who served as Chief Executive Officer of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for 27 years, championing economic development and entrepreneurship throughout the Borderplex.
- Dr. Cindy Stout, President and Chief Executive Officer of El Paso Children’s Hospital, recognized for her leadership in advancing pediatric healthcare in the region.
- Wayne Thornton, who served as Public Relations Director for El Paso Parks and Recreation for 47 years and co-founded the nationally recognized Midnight Basketball program, transforming recreational opportunities for local youth.

Since its inception in 1961, the annual Hall of Honor Banquet has celebrated individuals whose exceptional achievements and enduring contributions have enriched the history and heritage of El Paso. The Hall honors and preserves the legacies of distinguished El Pasoans, both living and deceased, whose character, vision, leadership, and creativity have left a lasting impact on the community.
Tickets to the 65th Hall of Honor can be purchased online at elpasohistory.com/store or by sending an email to epchs@elpasohistory.com. Tickets are $125 a person or $1,000 for a table for eight. All proceeds support the El Paso County Historical Society’s mission to preserve, promote, and share the rich history of El Paso.
